Types of UPVC Door Handles

This allows you to complete more work in a shorter amount of time, and that is why levers are commonly employed to lift heavy objects or moving large amounts of cargo. The lever principle is also used in everyday tools like crowbars. Hammer claws, fishing rods and your own legs, as you stand on the hand brake of your vehicle.

Lever/Pad

Lever pad handles, also referred to as upvc door handles, feature levers on both sides to operate the multipoint locks. These come in many variations & finishes and can be used with a variety of materials, including UPVC, Aluminium & Timber doors. They are sold in pairs for the outer and inner door, with screws and spindles included. They are also available in both handed and unhanded versions for different users.

They are commonly used in new constructions and can be installed to replace existing upvc doors. They are typically operated by lifting the levers to throw all of the multipoint locks before turning the key to close or unlock. They provide additional security when compared to standard lever door handles as the locking operation can only be accessed via the inside using a key unless the door is locked.

They're not as secure as a cylinder bolt however they are a cost-effective option to provide extra home security. The only disadvantage is that they don't have the same level of protection like a cylinder bolt and therefore don't stop external access when the door is left open.

This handle is designed to work with uPVC multipoint locks which use a split spindle mechanism. This kind of operation requires that the lever handle and external pad handle both be fitted to the same lock case.
