Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man-hours in order to create and assemble the average Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace new technology is the key to this lengthy and laborious process. The Crewe factory workers do not employ a machine to place perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead they do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spots drivers must do it by hand.
