What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Costs

Upgrades have a few associated costs. The first cost is the upgrade itself. This price is contingent on the item's new ilvl and the number of perks it gains, and can be expensive. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be expensive.

The second is the cost of the materials needed to upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable through completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These items can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

Upgrading an item is a complex process that takes time. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it could take up to 8 hours. The base stats of an upgraded item upgrading are calculated based on the new ilvl as well as other characteristics. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other vital statistics.
