Robot vacuums and mops have become more capable, acing our tests of cleaning and tackling a variety of floor types. Find models that allow you to select from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to self-empty, and clean up the stairs.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The black and gloss gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, creating maps of floors and rooms.

The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and also a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive right up to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without issue, though it occasionally was unable to navigate down stairs in a single move. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or carpets.

After every mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.

The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. For this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from becoming clogged with dirt or dust. But, overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other combinations which require more effort to maintain.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an effective solution for cleaning. The robot vacuums best vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction and offers many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just moving the pad across it. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, too, even though it does sometimes get hung up on the small area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can control by creating a virtual boundary within the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent, with a pair spinning mop heads that lift and scrub the floor instead of moving the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as required. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station if required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the top mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is completed.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our test's most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically swings out in order to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that run along baseboards.

Its navigation is nimble, navigating narrow spaces and climbing stairs without missing a beat. It can easily move from one room to another without reversing direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors, and leaves a huge margin between obstacles. This could lead to miss-hit spots.

The interface of the app is simple and streamlined. It should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and control cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop setting as well as view 3-D and 2D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. It comes with a smart app that lets you schedule cleanings and choose the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling system and washing system for hands-free operation.

Its mops are also awe-inspiring with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested to not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it did not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising, since it does NOT have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that lets it reach corners and tight places that other vacuums are unable to. It also collects dust in a larger dustbin which means you need empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces the costs associated with using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and boost suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you would like to be able to keep from using the app.
