The Narwal Freo X Ultra is one of the best robotic mop and vacuum robot vacuum and mop combos I've tested. Its base station features an enormous dustbin and water tank, and its dual rubber brushes are less prone to hair tangles than single bristles.

These features make it a great option for cleaning hands-free. The X40 Ultra also offers automatic self-cleaning of its base station and dust collection filter. The mop pads are automatically cleaned and drained in hot water. After every cleaning session, the soiled water tank will be automatically emptied.

It offers advanced options to tailor the cleaning schedule. For instance you can select a specific start and stop time for each cycle or whether it should be able to vacuum carpets first before mopping. It can be programmed to re-clean areas that are dirty and to boost suction around pet litter and food bowls. The X40 Ultra can be programmed to perform specific tasks on demand like cleaning the kitchen sink or bathroom toilet. It can also be set to automatically raise its front side brush when it spots wet areas, and then clean debris from baseboards and corners.

The X40 Ultra is easy to set up and operate using a simple and intuitive app and a wide range of features. It is quieter than most corded vacuums and only the occasional low hum of its motor and a burst of suction when cleaning. Its navigation system, automatic vacuum and mop which makes use of a camera and 3D structured lights, multiple lasers, and a 3D structured light to locate and avoid obstructions it is impressive. The Eufy S1 Pro is an amazingly powerful vacuum and mop combination that was designed to be easy for users. The gunmetal base station fills its own tank of clean water, emptying the dustbin into a smaller container, and washes and dries its own mop pads during cleaning sessions. It also has a sophisticated feature set that lets it switch between hard and rugs effectively removing dirt and pet hair from carpets and the thresholds of rooms that are raised.

The S1 Pro's navigation and mapping are excellent, with the dToF LiDAR system in the internal unit allowing it to maintain the appearance of a slim profile while delivering top-notch object avoidance. It can drive up to walls and avoid steps without falling. It also raises the mop automatically when driving on short-pile or rugs carpets. However, it struggled a little when encountering longer-pile carpets as well as some long, thick messes of dried-on debris.

Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to roll out of the box and only requires the initial mapping run to learn its way around your home. Once that's done the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or combined depending on the need. You can also design virtual boundaries areas, no-go zones and no-mop areas if you don't wish the robot to touch certain items.

The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to vacuum and mop is a great option for homes that have different types of flooring however, its reliance on a Eufy-branded cleaning solution (which is included in the box) could make it less flexible than other robots that vacuum and mop that allow you to make your own cleaning solutions.
