World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will gain an additional 3% of the previous damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item upgrader mod rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before the component can be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade items components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using fewer upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial risk that the item may become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin upgrade item Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer a bonus if reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, item Upgrader enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is best to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may be more expensive even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it shouldn't be done regularly, as it can use up many resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player continuously enters or leaves the water. This item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as the Best item upgrader version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an item it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item to revert to its original state, requiring the player to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained like crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items could require different upgrades than regular gear. For instance, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will need to carry each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
