Seats

The majority of triple buggies begin life as single pushchairs, although some can convert to take an additional seat or carrycot using adapters (these are more commonly found in tandem buggies). There are also models will allow you to include a ride-onboard for older children who would like to walk but require a little help.

For a light-weight alternative that's ideal for urban streets, look into the Joie Evalite Duo. It is easy to maneuver and comes with a large basket that is full of storage. It can accommodate twins from at birth and can accommodate two car seats or a carrycot with a seat. The seats must face forward and there is no space for a shopping bag under the seat. The phil&teds dot is a brilliant single buggy from the beginning that is able to easily be adapted to take 2 (or 3 wheel pushchair with car seat!) Multiple configurations are possible. This is particularly helpful when you have a child in a car seat because the frame can be fitted with a wedgie to allow for optimal position, and also car seat adapters for various brands.

Suspension

The suspension of a double 3 wheel pushchairs wheel buggy will determine the ease with which you and your child/children are able to push it. A smooth ride is essential because babies feel every bump on the road, especially when it's on rough terrain like grass or dirt roads. Some models also come with front wheels that lock to assist in maneuvering and navigating obstacles such as curbs.

Some models have tyres with air filled which are ideal for all-terrain rides, but they are prone to punctures. Be sure to keep an extra set of tyres in the trunk. Others have foam or gel tyres that are designed to take the bumps and can be less prone to punctures, however, you might find them a little stiff and uncomfortable for your child's back when you decide to run.

Folding

A 3 wheeler pushchairs wheel double buggy can fold quite neatly for storage.
