World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like crit chance and PvE damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will gain 3% of its previous damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item upgrader kit it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-level version of the item will drop in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a substantial chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also offer an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

The use of a Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item upgrades has an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an individual player improves a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with a new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may be more expensive even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough tokens in order to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, Item Upgrades with a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful, but should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times to increase their value, giving players the ability to alter their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is very useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item upgrade, and upgrading weapon equipment will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an item, it is given an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go beyond the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor Item Upgrades following the failure.

If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance it will be applied before any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Regardless, the player will need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses listed above.
