If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model you should go for. It is smaller than other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.

It's quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can auto vacuum and mop carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and is effective however this is something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

It's expensive, however it has many useful features. However, it's important to remember that it carries regular costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad.
