It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be employed to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However when you purchase this vacuum solely to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a huge difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy units.
