WoW Upgrades - The item upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item upgrading by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrading used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the Item level upgrade, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

In Season 3 the upgrade system was modified a bit, and several new features added. Crests

It's also important to use crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the Best item upgrade gear you have available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
