The sliding side panel of the crib can be raised and lowered with just a pressing of a button. This makes it simple to reach inside and soothe a crying baby at night. It comes with 11 height adjustments to fit almost any mattress size. It also has adjustable folding feet that ensure it is at the right height.

The cot is cushioned, has mesh sides to increase the airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density, foam to provide extra protection. It's also able to be cleaned so that you can keep it clean, and it comes with a fitted sheet that's suitable for use with the cot.

Contrary to other cribs that are bedside unlike other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a standalone crib when it is not connected to the bed. It comes with a variety of incredible features that were designed with parent and baby bonding in mind.

One thing to keep in mind is that while this crib is great for newborns, it won't last long once your little one turns six months old, which means you'll have to purchase a bigger cot. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she especially liked its elegant design.

The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna thought was a reasonable price for a cot with these advanced features. She was pleased with the way it looked in her bedroom, and thought its gray color would be appropriate for most modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not an ideal idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it could create an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to provide the Best Bedside Cot sleep possible. It features a drop-side rail that can be easily lifted to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or causing them to get out of the bed. This is ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight, which makes it easy to move around the house during nap time and for travelling.

We love that it's constructed of soft materials that have breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It is available in charcoal or oak with various melange fabrics that can be incorporated with a variety of styles. Anna found that it was sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs clicked into place and the zippers were secure to ensure security. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number if you have any problems.

The CoZee crib is equipped with all the features you would expect from a crib for your bed, including the ability to attach it to your bed using a stay-in place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. Additionally it has an inclined feature that can be used to assist babies with congestion or reflux. It's also machine-washable, a must with all the dribble and vomit that comes with having a baby!

The CoZee is a fantastic option if you want to keep your child close during the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. Although it can't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's most expensive options, however it comes with a lot of features. It's designed as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is simple to use even with one hand. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height levels and feet that retract to installation under any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of use offered by the side panel that can be moved up and downwards with just one click of a switch. This was particularly helpful at night, as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be removed on its own however, it's not recommended as this increases the risk of your child falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will only remain in place if it's properly attached to the mattress of the parent. This is a wonderful feature to have for Best Bedside Cot peace of mind, particularly in the case of breastfeeding and frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be a perfect fit for any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers due to the legs that can be telescopic. It has a tilting feature to help reflux babies, and a rocking function to help soothe them to sleep after a feeding. It is also very spacious and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our test subjects found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it comes with lengthy instructions. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's easily moved from one room to another. It's also small enough to fit into its travel bedside crib bag when not in use, which is a bonus in the event that you have to transport it. The only issue our testers have found is that the side panel did not flex as much compared to other models. This made it a bit harder to see the baby from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air cheap bedside cot crib is an excellent choice if you want an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that attaches securely to your bed and can be transformed into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and enhancing the bond between you and your newborn.

In contrast to other cribs for bed, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh side panels and the airflow mattress, which is hypoallergenic and breathable maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to reduce colic and reflux while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby throughout the night.

The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to get started. It took us around an hour to complete and was relatively easy to put together. The only downside to the instructions was that certain images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow the instructions. However, it was a straightforward process and the quality of the materials used was high.

In co-sleeping mode we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a C-section as it allows them to comfortably reach out to their baby for feeding and comfort without having to get up from their own bed. It's also great for parents who prefer not to go through the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or putting their baby down to sleep.

During our tests, we found the gliding motion of this next-to-me crib to be particularly useful in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a major best bedside cot selling point for our tired test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or have extra features such as a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Slide's elegant design and practicality make it a great addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
