What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager is a cost of 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no gameplay benefit other than making it easier to buy upgrades.

Boosters

With an upgrader for your item you can enjoy a number of bonuses. They can include stats as well as bonus bonuses. These bonuses can be applied to weapons or armor, as well as trinkets. The amount of extras gained with an upgrade depends on the number of upgrades performed. Each upgrade will increase the corresponding extras by increments of 1 up to a maximum value of 3. Each upgrade will also boost the stats of the main game by +1.

Certain upgrades also give a secondary random boost in addition to stat boosts. These secondary boosts are extremely beneficial and must be considered when deciding which items to upgrade. Certain of these boosts may only be used in specific builds (such the Whistan's Shield in FB Sorcs) While others are beneficial to collectors.

Certain items come with inherent boo, which is not useful when upgraded, for example the Goldwrap which provides additional slots for potion. These are usually upgraded to add more value to a near-perfect or perfect item.

Costs

There are a few costs that are associated with upgrades to items. The first is the cost for the upgrade. It can be costly and depends on the new ilvl of the item and the number of perks it gets. It is also costly to upgrade an Best item upgrade to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The second is the cost of materials needed for an upgrade. These items are typically Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons, or specific Mists Of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor Quests. These materials can be found in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it can take up to 8 hours. The stats that are the base of the upgraded item are calculated based upon its new ilvl as well as other characteristics. This calculation determines the new Armor Class bonuses, damage dice, as well as other important statistics. In some cases, the upgrade will grant additional benefits that can be chosen from a list of benefits.

In rare cases the upgrade will replace only the most expensive bonuses. Sometimes, the upgrader may make other adjustments to an item, such as changing its weapon damage type or removing or adding an unwieldy or operational property. Success Rate

An Upgrade Pity is an item that you can purchase from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of an upgrade succeeding by a certain percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that certain items provide, but it is more solid. This can be added to any weapon or armor, and is used three times.

You can also add additional materials to the upgrade to increase its chances of success. These are displayed in a window that is above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.

Another way to increase the odds of an upgrade achieving success is by using the item known as a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item can be useful if your weapon or piece is close to or has reached the top level of its tier. It will let you upgrade that piece of gear to the next level without having to worry about breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful it will be restored to its original state. This is often a downgrade, but could also be an upgrade. It is an excellent idea to save an upgrade when you're near the maximum capacity of an Best item upgrade, and to use it as an emergency.

You can also select a safeguard that will protect your item upgrade in the event of a failure. This protection is not free however it will cost less than purchasing a new item. The safeguard is only valid one time per upgrade and will not expire until used again.

The interface for the item upgrader can be somewhat confusing, but it's not difficult to navigate. The main menu appears on the left side and the upgrade window appears on the right. The arrows to the left of the UI indicate the various steps during the upgrade process. If you're not certain what you're doing, click the question mark icon to get assistance. The upgrade process can take as long as five minutes.
