Following a series of social media posts hinting at it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. Space Key was developed in collaboration with a non-disclosed artist and based upon advanced carbon fiber composite materials that were sent to the International Space Station as research material, is a project which was announced by Lamborghini.

The one-of-a-kind NFT is a physical item which connects to a unique digital artwork, accessible via a QR code that is located on the back. The project is limited and will be auctioned off in the coming weeks.

The physical component of Space Key

The digital artwork

Each of the five Space lambo keys will feature a separate moment that occurs seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Over 600 million pixels up each of the five images which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner utilized an inflatable camera that had an lens to take individual images, which were then added to the final picture. The result is a photo that is completely out of the world. It captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic image of a car rising away from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned off soon, but there's no precise date or place yet.
