The i3+ EVO unlike the other robot vacuums that we tested has a self vacuum emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt compartment located on its charging base when it is full. This reduces hands-on maintenance and helps keep the i3+ EVO from overfilling, however it still requires manually cleaned after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's internal dustbin holds 2.4L of trash, which is enough to last four or five cleaning sessions before you have to replace it.

Like the i7, this model also uses the latest floor sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores a single map while the i7 can store multiple. The map of the i7 can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not for the i3+ EVO.

Although the i3+ EVO is better in removing debris on surfaces than the other robovacs that we tested however, it's not the most effective in terms of cleaning edges and corners. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being surprisingly quiet. It was quite rough on furniture, since it moved chairs away. It also caused collisions against the sides of the test bed.

2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro
