World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the weapon's upgrade item template ends in %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot for them. The item must be at least upgraded to the blue level to allow a component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment with which it is applied (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using fewer Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence characteristics of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial risk that the item may be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Utilizing the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount, item upgrading which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a problem because it can make the item more expensive, even if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item upgrades. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as dolphins). The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting back to its original condition, which requires the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as chances to be crit attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item may have five upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items might require different upgrades than regular gear. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to bring every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
