World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example, a perfectly rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth the effort.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a group. In certain instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.

Upgrades to weapons also change the stats of the base. While this is generally an excellent thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make things impossible to use, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

The ability to upgrade armor items to improve their stats. For instance, if you have a helm or chest, this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will improve their required strength and Item Upgrades dexterity. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading, as well as the relative value of those stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu using the arrows that circle. This will reroll the item and alter its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's level nor tie it to the account status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make huge differences in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the greater health you'll gain from each point. So, it's Best item upgrade to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game and to unlock each fountain, you have to complete an additional quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

The amount of material needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. You'll need anywhere between three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold environments, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, giving you enough protection to survive a full on raid with a handful of friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around some monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, provide a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their level of effect. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The price of upgrades varies based on the type of potion as well as the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion you need to right-click it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they will provide when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP level.

Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons, unlike Java Edition. Additionally, using a potentio in a cauldron that is full drains the potion and replenishes the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are made with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone can be added to potions that are lingering to increase their effects. The table of potions is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It may also refer to an object or decoration that serves a function but is not particularly significant such as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket can be used to show affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets are able to be swapped out at will without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It can be done by players for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl of the old one, and will come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be upgraded once they are not needed which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an attractive alternative to gold.

Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This usually means the Best item upgrade-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries, and finally other items of gear will not be replaced in the near future (for example an earring or cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade items. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers it is recommended that they upgrade their helm, chest shoulders, belt, and helm.

Once they have become useless trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade is likely to destroy the old trinket in the event that it is not salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than buying a new one.
