What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

In some cases the upgrade will provide additional advantages that can be picked from a list of advantages.

In rare instances, the upgrade will only replace the most expensive perks. Occasionally, the upgrader will make other changes to an item upgrader kit, like changing the type of weapon damage or removing or adding an unwieldy or operational property. These modifications are based on an item's ilvl, and may require special materials, such as adamantine.

Success Rate

Item upgrades are based on a chance, and like every random system, there's a chance that the upgrade will fail. However there are a few factors that can help to increase the odds of success. These include the use of an item known as an Upgrade Pity or the addition of extra materials to the upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity can be bought from the NPC for crafting in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of the upgrade being successful by some percentage. It's similar to the "luck bonus" that some items offer, but it is more secure. It can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used up to three times.

You can also add additional components to the upgrade to increase the chance of success. These materials are displayed in a window above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.

A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version of it can be used to increase the odds of a successful upgrade. This item is helpful if you have a weapon or piece of equipment that is at the maximum level for its tier, or is close to it.
